Cesar Romero played new McMann & Tate client Ernest Hitchcock in the seventh season episode, "Salem, Here We Come" (1970).


Cesar Romero was an American film and television actor. He was born in New York City on February 15, 1907. He was the grandson of Cuban patriot José Marti. Romero served in the Coast Guard during World War II.

Romero was one of Hollywood's handsome leading men in the 1940s and 1950s. He played a variety of film roles for Twentieth Century Fox, including The Cisco Kid, The Legend of Zorro, and conqueror Hernan Cortes in Captain from Castile.

In 1953 he starred in a thirty-nine week television espionage series Passport to Danger. He was best known as the Joker in twenty-five episodes of the Batman television series in the 1960s. In 1986, he started playing the recurring role of Peter Stavros on the CBS nighttime soap opera Falcon Crest. A few years prior to his death, he hosted American Movie Classics on cable television.

Romero died on January 1, 1994, in Santa Monica, California. He was 86.
