Coslough Johnson was born on January 20, 1929, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He was a writer and producer, known for Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1967), The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour (1971) and The Sonny and Cher Show (1976). He won a primetime Emmy in 1968 for Outstanding Writing Achievement in Music or Variety for Laugh-In (1967). He was the twin brother of another Bewitched alumni, Arte Johnson.

He died on March 23, 2023. He was 91.
