David Ankrum played Adam Stephens, Tabitha's now mortal brother, in the Bewitched spin-off, Tabitha (1977-1978).
Biography[]
David Wheeler Ankrum was born on May 2, 1947, in Santa Clara County, California, the son of actor Morris Ankrum and actress Joan Wheeler. He is an actor, writer, producer and manager.
Ankrum was active in television and film in the 1970s -1980s. He was a member of the sketch comedy group "Three and a Half" with Hervé Villechaize, Betty Thomas and David Arkin, and performed at The Hollywood Canteen (1977).
He was the voice of Wedge Antilles in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). Forty years after voicing the role, his voice of Wedge was back in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). He was the PA announcer on Yavin redirecting the Rebel fighters to the crucial battle on Scarif. He ended his speech with the classic line, "May the force be with you!"
David has been married to Barbara Ankrum since April 7, 1979. They have two children.
