Nora Denney played Lady in Park in the third season episode, A Gazebo Never Forgets and Mrs. Gurney in the fifth season episode, Samantha Fights City Hall (1966, 1968). She was billed as Dodo Denney.

Biography[]

Nora Denney was an American film, television and stage actress. She was born on September 3, 1927, in Kansas City, Missouri as Dolores Teachenor. She was sometimes credited as Dodo Denney. She started her career on local Missouri television playing Marilyn the Witch on "The Witching Hour".

Denney is best remembered for her role as 'Mrs. Teevee' in the classic children's film, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" (1971). Among her other work were the films, "Good Old Days" (1966), "Who's Minding the Mint?" (1967), "I Walk the Line" (1970), "Do Not Fold, Spindle, or Mutilate" (1971), "The Amazing Cosmic Awareness of Duffy Moon" (1976), "American Hot Wax" (1978), "Splash" (1984), "The Burden of Proof" (1992), "A Matter of Justice" (1993), "Truman" (1995), "Ride with the Devil" (1999), and television appearances including, "Eight Is Enough," "Bewitched", "Get Smart," "Soap," and "Starsky and Hutch."

She was married to Alan Denney and they had two sons, Dix and John. She was also a talented stage actress and gardener.

Denney died on November 20, 2005, in Crestline, California. She was 78.
