Dr. Evan Wormser is a mortal expert and author on the occult. He is the author of the book, "Worlds of the Occult".
Tabitha books him for Paul's show several days before Halloween. The doctor is introduced as the "famed authority on the supernatural." Dr. Wormser says that Halloween is an especially important holiday for witches.
Before the show, Paul laughingly tells Tabitha that Dr. Wormser actually believes in the three "W"s - Witches, Warlocks and Weirdos. Paul does not believe in witches or Halloween and he ridicules witches and the doctor on the air.

- Episode credits list him as "Worsmer", but everyone pronounces his name as "Wormser". Cassandra's nickname is even more explicit - "Wormsy".
