Dr. Passmore is the chief psychiatrist at the Meadowbrook Rest Home.
He pays a visit to the Stephenses' home looking for Darrin. He tells Samantha that the guests at the home want to commemorate the centennial of the end of the War Between the States with a pageant, and he has come to ask Darrin to do the publicity. Darrin is not home, but Samantha promises that he will help them with their publicity, giving him her word that Darrin will do it.
Later, after he comes home, Darrin tells Samantha that he is too busy at the office to help. Samantha apologizes, saying she thought he wanted her to get involved with civic affairs.
Dr. Passmore calls and Darrin reluctantly tells him that he will do the publicity. The doctor also needs someone to write a play, so Darrin gives his word that Samantha will write it, much to her chagrin.
