Ellen Weston portrayed Contessa Piranha, a witch who steals Serena's powers, in "Serena's Richcraft" (1972). She also played an uncredited part as a witch in Samantha's court in "Double, Double, Toil and Trouble" (1967).


Ellen Weston is an American actress and writer. She was born on April 19, 1939 in New York City as Ellen Ruth Weinstein.

Weston, who had a drama scholarship, majored in speech therapy while attending Hofstra University, Hunter College and New York University. She left college in her senior year to work as an actress, but completed her work for a B.A. two years later.

She appeared on Broadway in Toys in the Attic (1960), A Far Country (1961) and Mary, Mary (1961). She replaced the role of Tiffany Richards in the latter in 1962.

Weston's daytime television writing credits include Capitol (1986) as a staff writer and Guiding Light (2003-2004) as head writer. Outside of the soap opera genre, Weston has writing and production credits on And the Beat Goes On: The Sonny and Cher Story (1999), See Jane Run (1995), The Disappearance of Vonnie (1994) and the Broadway musical, Josephine.

Weston also appeared in front of the cameras on Guiding Light as Robin Lang from 1963 to 1964. Other television appearances include a brief recurring role as Dr. Steele on Get Smart and Betty Harrelson on S.W.A.T.

She married Ami Hadani (owner of a recording studio) and they had a son, Jonathan, who is a sound designer.
