Plot[]
Esmeralda accidentally zaps George Washington out of a history book and into the Stephenses's house. The president is shocked to find himself in the 20th century and Samantha informs the father of the United States of the country's progress in 200 years. Due to her faulty witchcraft, Esmeralda cannot remember the spell to send him back and Sam encourages her to work on it. Samantha and Darrin have to make sure no one in the neighborhood sees the president, but did not think he could escape. Washington observes the world with interest, but struggles to adapt to modern times. He is arrested by a police sergeant for public speaking without a permit. Later, he is released into Sam's custody. Finally, Esmeralda remembers the incantation and sends Washington back to his time, but his shoes did not travel with him. In her attempt to return them, Esmeralda brings Washington back again, this time with his wife Martha.
