Plot[]
Tabitha reads Hansel and Gretel to Adam and, soon, talks with the characters. She feels so sorry for the starving siblings that she zaps Hansel and Gretel out of their book to feed them. When Samantha follows a leg of lamb that floats from the oven to Tabitha's room, she discovers the two starving kids and learns that her daughter zapped herself into the book. Worried, Sam pops into the storybook to rescue Tabitha from the wicked Storybook Witch. In the meantime, Darrin tries to explain the hungry siblings' presence to Larry and Louise. He says these kids are co-stars in an upcoming play and they are really into their characters. When Darrin gets distracted, the Tates let the kids go home. Darrin has to search for them throughout the neighborhood. However, Samantha finds a gingerbread house inhabited by an old witch who tells her she has not seen any children around. But, later, when Sam talks to Brunhilda, the woodcutter's wife, she understands her mistake, rushes to the gingerbread house and turns the wicked witch into a fairy godmother until she agrees to let Tabitha go. In the meantime, at Stephenses' house, the cops bring back Hansel and Gretel whom they arrested for stealing ice cream. Samantha thanks the two police officers, zaps the children out of their custody to Tabitha's room where they are sent back into the fairytale book.
