Money Happy Returns is the twenty-third episode of the seventh season of Bewitched and the 223rd episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by February 1, 1971.
Plot[]
Endora accuses Darrin of being cheap when she finds Tabitha and Adam playing in a plastic above-ground children's pool. Soon, she zaps a large swimming pool in the backyard, but Darrin just happens to be there and falls into it. Later, when Darrin finds $100,000 in a cab, he thinks that Endora magically zapped the envelope there so that he would have no more excuses to buy a swimming pool. When Samantha assures him that Endora had nothing to do with it, Darrin accuses Sam of covering up for her mother. An angry Sam zaps the money away and leaves to get some fresh air and visit Louise. However, the money actually belongs to criminals who, shortly thereafter, ring the doorbell and threaten Darrin if he does not return the money. Darrin calls Louise who marinates him for pleasure, but Samantha leaves her when she realizes that Darrin is in danger. Faced with the criminals, she displays the greatest calm. In the meantime, Larry drops by and, wrongly believing that the two men are the owners of an advertising agency who are looking to hire Darrin, offers the latter a raise before leaving satisfied. However, Sam always refuses to return the envelope to the criminals. She then makes them hear police sirens and, once they are out, a police officer, to whom Sam gives the envelope, arrests the two bandits.
