Ottola Nesmith played Aunt Enchantra in the third season episode, "The Trial and Error of Aunt Clara" (1967).


Ottola Nesmith was an American character actress whose career spanned from 1915 to 1966 in both films and television. She was born on December 12, 1889 in Washington, District of Columbia. She played numerous spinsters, dowagers, gossips, forbidding nurses, governesses and saleswomen from the mid-1930's to the late 60's. She also briefly hosted horror films on KTLA in Los Angeles during the 1950's.

Nesmith was known for Becky Sharp (1935), Four Star Playhouse (1952), Television Spy (1939), Inside Daisy Clover (1965), Invisible Ghost (1941) and Fools for Scandal (1938).

She was also active on television, appearing in such programs as Fireside Theatre, The Loretta Young Show, Matinee Theatre, Lux Video Theatre, Schlitz Playhouse of Stars, Target, The Texan , Cheyenne, Peter Gunn, Boris Karloff's Thriller, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Dr. Kildare, The Andy Griffith Show, The Virginian, Rawhide, The Wild Wild West, Bewitched, Mannix, Gomer Pyle USMC and Ironside.

Mrs. Nesmith was married to Leon D'Usseau. She passed away on February 7, 1972 in Hollywood, California. She was 82.
