Out of the Mouths of Babes is the twenty-fourth episode of the seventh season of Bewitched and the 224th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by February 5, 1971.
Plot[]
Darrin has to end his weekend off when Larry stops by the Stephenses' house to tell him that new client Sean Flanagan of Mother Flanagan's Irish Stew is arriving earlier than expected. Larry insists that Darrin immediately work on the advertising campaign of this potential very lucrative account. As misfortune never comes alone, Endora pops in and wants to take Tabitha to the Unicorn Handicap. Finding her son-in-law's refusal childish, Endora turns him into a 12-year-old boy with Darrin's mature voice. Samantha introduces him to Larry as Marvin, Darrin's nephew, and sends him to the park with Tabitha where he plays basketball with a boy named Herbie. Back from the park, Darrin and Herbie are hungry. Samantha serves them some Mother Flanagan's canned stew. Herbie, with the immediate honesty of a child, says how awful it tastes. Later, Darrin gladly apologizes as Endora unwittingly, albeit indirectly, helped him with the Mother Flanagan campaign. Also he realizes that McMann & Tate, for its integrity, should not advertise a bad product like this stew. In the meantime, Sean Flanagan arrives. Sam suggests to Darrin that "Marvin" tell him the truth. Although he hates Mother Flanagan's stew, Larry disputes the boy's opinion, but Flanagan remembers his own childhood when he hated his mother's stew recipe. Samantha convinces him to market it as dog food.
