In Hollywood, she played minor, often uncredited roles, mainly as a maid, a singer, or a naive young woman, in more than forty films, including Charles Vidor's 1941 Ladies in Retirement, Archie Mayo's 1941 Confirm or Deny, Anatole Litvak's 1942 This Above All, René Clair's 1945 And Then There Were None (alongside Richard Haydn), Michael Curtiz's 1947 Life with Father, Douglas Sirk's 1951 Thunder on the Hill (alongside Norma Varden), Richard Fleischer's 1952 The Narrow Margin, and Robert Z. Leonard's 1955 The King's Thief. She lent her voice to Disney cartoons and was the voice of Princess in the classic 1961 animated film One Hundred and One Dalmatians.

From the late 1940s onwards, she also appeared in numerous television series, including The Life of Riley, The Loretta Young Show, Schlitz Playhouse, Shower of Stars, The 20th Century-Fox Hour, The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Our Man Higgins, Hazel, and I Dream of Jeannie.
