Plot[]
Election fever sweeps Morning Glory Circle, and Samantha and Darrin become campaign managers for city council candidate, Ed Wright. Endora's magic helps bring his corrupt opponent's dirty dealings to light.

- Endora attended the Lincoln-Douglas debate of 1860.
- In a bit of irony, Endora tells a reporter her last name is Waters. Her real last name is something Darrin could not pronounce (and presumably no other mortal), as she tells him in Mother Meets What's-His-Name.
- The local newspaper is The Gazette.
- The title alludes to the 1898 battle cry, "Remember the Maine".
- Ed Wright's campaign slogan is "I like Ed", which alludes to the slogan for President Eisenhower, "I like Ike".
