Sam's Spooky Chair is the twelfth episode of the third season and the eighty-sixth episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by September 29, 1966.
Plot[]
Samantha buys an antique chair and gives it to Mrs. Cosgrove, the wife of one of Darrin's clients, who falls in love with it. In the middle of the night, the chair comes back to the Stephenses' house and, while refusing to return to the Cosgrove house, appears aggressive towards Darrin or anyone who wants to keep it away from Samantha. Endora denies responsibility, but enjoys seeing the mess until Samantha discovers that the chair is actually Clyde Farnsworth, a warlock who transformed himself long ago in Boston when Samantha rejected his affections.
