Samantha's Super Maid is the fourteenth episode of the fifth season and the 154th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by September 12, 1968.
Plot[]
Samantha sees their pleasant weekend disrupted by Phyllis, Darrin's mother, who has taken the initiative of forcing her to hire a maid. Sam does her best to dissuade potential candidates, but she cannot dissuade one applicant named Amelia, a sweet, hard working woman. After a delicious first dinner cooked by Amelia, Samantha and Darrin decide, despite her great talents, to fire her because of the frequent witchcraft possibly being performed in the house. Faced with Amelia's kindness, neither has the heart to do the firing. Endora, disgusted by the idea of a maid, is less weak. She causes a big mess in the house to discourage the maid from staying. In the meantime, Phyllis and her friend, Leslie Otis, drop by to see how the new maid is doing. Samantha is forced to cast a spell on Amelia so that the maid will put everything back in good order at high speed. Mrs. Otis is so admiring of Amelia's docility and efficiency that she offers her a lot of money to employ in her service, but the maid refuses until Sam gives her a little push with a spell.
