Samantha Loses Her Voice is the tenth episode of the fifth season and the 150th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by October 4, 1968.
Plot[]
Uncle Arthur gives Tabitha a poodle as a gift. As Darrin is not at home, Samantha feels that she cannot make a decision on whether to keep the dog as she cannot speak for Darrin. Uncle Arthur decides to pull one of his practical jokes by giving Samantha Darrin's voice so that she can literally speak for him. Meanwhile, Louise, who has been arguing with Larry, comes with suitcase in hand to talk to Samantha about her leaving her husband, while Larry discusses his marital woes with Darrin at a bar. Tension rises when Uncle Arthur seems unable to give everyone their voice back, especially as he later enjoys adding other twists to the spell in response to Darrin's insults.
