Samantha and Darrin in Mexico City is the thirtieth and last episode of the fifth season and the 170th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by September 19, 1968.
Plot[]
After a successful presentation to the marketing director for the launch of his company's Mexican bottled drink into the United States, Darrin plans to take Samantha and travel to Mexico City to sell the campaign to the company's president. However, Larry decides to go himself to the exotic city instead of his employee. Samantha uses her witchcraft on Larry while he is in Mexico City, causing she and Darrin to also travel to Mexico to make the presentation. Larry claims that Darrin can speak Spanish and therefore must give a speech in the client's native language. Because Darrin is nothing but fear, Endora casts a spell to make all his fears disappear, making him completely "vanish" when he utters a word of Spanish.
