Samantha and the Troll is the nineteenth episode of the seventh season and the 219th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by October 8, 1970.
Plot[]
Tabitha breaks Adam's cup of milk when she magically floats it to the sink. Samantha twitches to reassemble the cup, but her powers are gone. Serena pops in and insists Samantha go for a check-up for the "10,000 spell overhaul". She assures that it will be a pleasure to babysit. After Samantha leaves, Serena has fun with the children by playing hide and seek with them and with Tabitha's toys on which she casts a spell to make them life-sized. At the end of the game, all the toys return to their normal size, but no one has noticed that the Troll is still hidden in the closet downstairs. When Serena overhears Darrin tell Larry that Samantha cannot host a client and his wife for a business dinner, she decides to impersonate her. Worried, Darrin accepts the situation, but insists that his cousin-in-law is only preparing a simple dinner for mortals. During the evening, as Samantha, Serena adopts inappropriate behavior towards the client Roland Berkley to whom she makes advances, which scandalizes Martha Berkley, his wife, who wants to leave. However, Samantha returns and takes over from the annoyed Serena. When she tries to come up with an explanation for damage control, the shaggy Troll runs out of the closet, forcing Darrin and Sam to tie it into a slogan for Berkley's hair tonic, saving the account and improving the love between the Berkleys.
