Samantha the Sculptress is the nineteenth episode of the fifth season and the 159th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by November 27, 1968.
Plot[]
At Darrin's request, Samantha learns how to sculpt in order to later teach it to Tabitha, who is guilty in her father's eyes of having used witchcraft to transform her modeling clay into works too good to have been made by the hands of a mortal child. For her first project, Sam sculpts a bust of Darrin that has nothing to do with Darrin. But Endora, angry at her son-in-law for making her daughter and granddaughter do mortal labor, zaps a perfect bust of Darrin, then an equally perfect one of Larry. When potential new client Walden R. Campbell comes to the Stephenses' house for a business dinner, Endora zaps both busts in front of him and gives them the ability to speak. Mr. Campbell, who places pleasure, especially in the form of alcohol consumption, ahead of business, sees the busts talking and does not want to drink anymore, but agrees to sign the contract with McMann & Tate. Endora failed in her attempt to his son-in-law. Thanks to the talking busts, Darrin gets the account.
