Seymour Robbie was a director on Bewitched. He helmed the fourth season episode, "I Confess" (1968).

Biography[]

Seymour Robbie was an American director and producer. He was born on August 25, 1919 in New York, and grew up on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.

His first job in entertainment industry was as a pageboy for CBS in New York. From 1952, he became director of early live shows such as Newsstand Theatre (four episodes), Studio One (five episodes), Omnibus (twenty-four episodes), and game shows such as The $64,000 Question.

In 1959, he directed the television film Art Carney Meets the Sorcerer's Apprentice, and the following year a television documentary, Spirit of the Alamo, narrated by John Wayne.

Between 1960 and 1990, he guided episodes of more than seventy television series, including Burke's Law (two episodes), The Men from U.N.C.L.E. (three episodes), Mister Roberts (eight episodes), The Green Hornet (four episodes), F Troop (twelve episodes), The Felony Squad (three episodes), Hawaii Five-0 (four episodes), The Virginian (three episodes), The Name of the Game (five episodes), Mannix (three episodes), Room 222 (four episodes), Mod Squad (four episodes), Cannon (six episodes), The F.B.I. (six episodes), Insight (four episodes), Kojak (two episodes), The Streets of San Francisco (seven episodes), Ellery Queen (five episodes), The Feather and the Gang (three episodes), Wonder Woman (four episodes), Barnaby Jones (eight episodes), Trapper John, M.D. (nine episodes), Hart to Hart (three episodes), Remington Steele (seventeen episodes), Murder, She Wrote (twenty-one episodes), and Father Dowling Mysteries (three episodes). He also directed two motion pictures: C.C. & Company (1970), starring Joe Namath and Ann-Margret, and Marco (1973), starring Desi Arnaz Jr. as Marco Polo.

Seymour Robbie and his wife Shirley were married in 1941. They had two sons, Paul and Thomas.

Seymour Robbie died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) on June 17, 2004 at his Beverly Hills home, Los Angeles, California. He was 84.
