The Return of Darrin the Bold is the seventeenth episode of the seventh season and the 217th episode of the Bewitched series. The episode was completed by November 25, 1970.
Plot[]
Endora visits the Guru, named the Old Man of the Mountain, to obtain a potion that would transform one of Darrin's ancestors into a warlock and by extension all his descendants. Endora sends Serena back to 14th century Ireland to meet Darrin the Bold and makes him drink the potion, which she easily succeeds in doing. Immediately, during his relaxing weekend in the 20th century, when Darrin wishes for something, it magically appears before him. The Stephenses believes someone close cast a spell on Darrin. Sam calls her mother, but Endora swears she did not cast any spell on her son-in-law and claims that it happened because Darrin has been married to a witch for a long time. She explains that Darrin has entered the first stage of witchcraft, called wishcraft, like Tabitha experienced when she was a toddler. Later, Serena pops in and slips about having met Darrin the Bold. Samantha realizes what her cousin and mother really did. To undo the potion's effects, Sam also returns to the time of Darrin the Bold.
