Virginia Martin played Charmaine Leach in three season two episodes and Roxie Ames in the first season episode, "It's Magic" (1965-1966).


Virginia Marie Martin was born on December 2, 1927, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She graduated from The University of Chattanooga.

She was primarily an actress and singer on the Broadway stage, active during the 1950s and 1960s. She did, however, make some appearances on television.

On the stage, Martin appeared in Carmelina (1979), Bajour (1965), Little Me (1962) (which also starred Nancy Andrews), How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (1961), Say, Darling (1958), New Faces of 1956, Ankles Away (1955), The Pajama Game (1954) and South Pacific (1949). She was nominated for a Tony Award in 1963 in the "Best Featured Actress in a Musical" category for Little Me, in which she originated the roles of Baby and Belle.

On television she appeared on Tallahassee 7000, Bewitched and The Phil Silvers Show. She was also a guest on the talk shows That Regis Philbin Show (1965) and The Tonight Show Starring Jack Paar (1959).

Virginia Martin died on August 27, 2009, in Chattanooga. She was 81.
